Queen's Tower Exchange (QTE) is a closed exchange that lets Imperial College London students compete on a continuous, realistic simulation of the financial markets. Through hands-on exposure across diverse asset classes, we empower top students to explore the financial markets, hone their strategies, and gain the decisive edge needed to stand out in a highly competitive industry.
Our Mission
At Queens Tower Exchange, our mission is to provide an environment for students at Imperial College London to cultivate their passion and talent. We operate as a student incubator, offering a realistic simulation environment that mirrors the pace and complexity of professional firms. By involving teams across different areas and time horizons of financial markets, we members explore their strengths and build practical acumen as they play their role in our ecosystem.
What We Do
- 01 Real market mechanics Live order book data, an honest matching engine, trade-based fills against the live market, and the same fast-or-be-arbitraged dynamic that drives professional desks.
- 02 Eight arms, one exchange Market Making, Market Taking, Options, Fundamentals, Execution, FPGA, Agentic AI and Technology. Pick the seat that matches how you want to compete.
- 03 An incubator for talent QTE exists to differentiate the students who will thrive in live markets and to grow that talent in a place where the cost of getting it wrong is a leaderboard, not a redundancy.
- 04 Build for what's next The FPGA Arm is laying the groundwork to move parts of the exchange onto physical hardware on-site within the next three to four years. The Agentic AI arm is exploring the cutting-edge of what's possible.
